Kim Nelson

Kim Allen Nelson, 61, of Ruidoso Downs passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 in Ruidoso.  He was born November 11, 1958 in Roswell to Melvin and JoAnn Nelson, they moved to Lincoln County in 1964 from Roswell.

Kim graduated from Eastern New Mexico University and began teaching and coaching in the late 1980’s at Muleshoe High School and retired in 2001 from Mescalero High School.  He married Peggy on April 4, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy; his children, Brooke Sky and Sierra Sky; his mother, JoAnn Nelson; brother, Barry Nelson; sister, Dana Johnson; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Nelson.

A Celebration will be held in May, 2020.
