Kevin Chavez

Kevin Ray Chavez, 28, passed away with his family by his side in Las Cruces, NM on Friday, July 13, 2018. He was born on September 9, 1989 in Ruidoso, NM to his parents, Ervin and Teresa Chavez.

Kevin grew up and attended school in Ruidoso. Kevin enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, horn hunting, sking, and being outdoors with his dogs and spending quality time with his family. Kevin also enjoyed being on his own. He had a very gentle soul. He was very sweet, happy, stubborn, strong willed and he was always willing to listen.

Survived by his father and mother, Ervin and Teresa Chavez, brother, Zach Chavez and his wife, Stacey, sister, Jaylen Chavez, brother, Fabian Chavez and his wife, Leticia, Brian Chavez and his wife, Kara. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, Ashley, Lyric, Madison, Patricia, Alexx, Kadence, Angie, Jessie, Lauren, Karson and Aaliyah. He also leaves behind his very, very best friend, Cilo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kevin was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

A memorial will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Fountain Living Water in San Patricio with a potluck lunch to follow.
