Kenneth Smith

Kenneth Wayne Smith, 72, of Ruidoso was born June 13, 1943 to Angie and Travis Smith Sr. in Levelland, Texas. He died August 12, 2015 at his home in Ruidoso. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Smith.

He owned and operated Kenco Electric Co. in Roswell which he founded in 1985. He retired in 2010 to move to Ruidoso to live in the cabin that he built.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Pinckard Smith; a brother, Travis Smith and his wife Joyce; nieces and nephews, David Smith and his wife, Susan and Stacy Nelson and her husband Chris; great nieces and nephews, Daryl Nelson and Kami, Christen Nelson, Caiti Nelson, Matt Smith and Elizabeth, Lauren Smith and great great nephew, Preston Smith and numerous friends.

A memorial service was Saturday, August 15, at the Ruidoso Downs Race Track at Ruidoso Downs, NM. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date at his cabin.
