Kaitlyn Smith

It is with heavy hearts but joyful memories that we celebrate the life of Kaitlyn Marie Smith, who was born on March 6, 1991, in Ruidoso, NM, and left us on April 29, 2025. Kaitlyn lived her life with a vibrant spirit that brought joy to everyone she encountered. A dedicated homemaker, she cherished her family above all else and found happiness in the simple joys of life.

Kaitlyn was the proud mother of three: her beloved daughters Kirstein Smith and Caylor Smith and her son Keegan Bigmouth. She was also a cherished grandmother to her two beautiful granddaughters, Aaliyah Waters and Kaizleigh Comanche. Kaitlyn embraced her role as a caregiver with love and warmth that will be forever remembered by those she nurtured.

Kaitlyn leaves behind her loving father, Charles Smith, and her brothers and sisters, Branson, Kyle, Myralene, Shosonia, Ashtin, and Malorie. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, including Tay, Isaac, Sadie, Grayson, Oden, and Ryett. Each one of them held a special place in her heart.

Those who knew Kaitlyn will fondly remember her love for playing pool, going for walks, and dancing with zest. She had a way of bringing people together, creating laughter, and lighting up any room she occupied.

In honor of Kaitlyn's life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Apache Mission on May 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM, preceded by a Rosary at 9:30 AM. There will be a public viewing starting at 8:30 AM on the same day. Following the ceremonies, Kaitlyn will be laid to rest at Mescalero Cemetery.

As we gather to celebrate her vibrant spirit, let us remember the love, laughter, and life that Kaitlyn shared with us all. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished in our hearts.
