Juan Montoya

Juan S. Montoya of San Patricio passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his home. He was born February 17, 1926 at Hondo and had lived in Lincoln County all of his life.

He served in the Navy during World War II, he was a farmer and rancher in the Hondo Valley and drove a school bus for the Hondo School from 1967 until 1987. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
He married Eva Gonzales on August 13, 1948 at Carrizozo and she preceded him in death on July 10, 2014.

He is survived by his children, Porfiria Zinn and her husband Bill, Raquel Montoya Harrison and her husband Russell and Richard Quirino Montoya and his wife, Denise; Juan Salas who was a nephew but was raised with him as a brother;
five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The Rosary service will be Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. in St. Jude Catholic Church where the funeral mass will be on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. Jude Catholic Cemetery.
