Joy Jones

Funeral services for Joy D. Jones 83, will be held on Monday, February 11th at 11:00 A.M. at Capitan Church of Christ in Capitan, New Mexico, with burial to follow at Angus Cemetery, Derrick Jones officiating.

Joy passed away on Tuesday morning January 29, 2019 in Tavares, Florida after a short illness. She was living with her daughter Tina Jones-Shell and husband, Mark, in Apopka, Florida for the last 12 years.
Born September 19, 1935, in Alamogordo, New Mexico, Joy attended school in Carrizozo and Alamogordo. She resided in New Mexico for most of her life.

Joy worked in banking in Lordsburg, Ruidoso, and Albuquerque where she retired. Her selfless love and desire to help others kept her busy attending to family, friends, pets and gardening. Joy loved our Lord and savior and was always drawn to the needs of the helpless.
Joy was the daughter of Lorraine (Maggie) Jump of Carrizozo, New Mexico.

Joy is survived by Michael Jones of Nogal, New Mexico, daughter, Tina Jones-Shell and son-in-law Mark Shell of Apopka Florida; son, Perry Manuel Jones of Nogal, New Mexico; brothers, Ted Jump and Bill Jump; nephews, Frank Austin, Robin Beltran and niece Joan Jump.

In lieu of flowers to honor the memory of Joy, a donation to American Wild Horse Campaign, Horses For Heroes-New Mexico, Inc. or any animal rescue group would make Joy's heart sing.
