John Vanmarter
December 19, 1961 — April 8, 2007
He graduated from New Mexico State University in 1989 and then moved to Hobbs from Las Cruces and was working for XCEL Energy in Hobbs. He married Tammie Hardy on March 18, 1995 in Hobbs. He is survived by his wife Tammie of Hobbs; two step children, Mary Keith of Hobbs and James Kirkendall of Amarillo; his father, John Bruce VanMarter of Capitan and his mother, Gilberta VanMarter of Amarillo; two brothers, Eric William VanMarter and Scottg Lyle VanMarter and his wife Fala of Amarillo.
