John Heard

John Barry Heard, born March 7, 1964, in Roswell, New Mexico, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 7, 2020 while residing in Ruidoso, New Mexico.  He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Betty Heard.  He is survived by his sisters Nancy Lynn Heard of Dallas TX, and Holly Heard Morgan of Canyon Lake, TX.  He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Stephen Lyle Morgan and nephews, Matthew, Michael, and Mason Morgan.

John loved life and brought laughter to many with his wit and charisma.  He loved to snow ski and fly fish.  He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity at Texas Tech University where he majored in Business Finance.  John grew up in Midland, Tx and lived in Dallas, TX for most of his life, moving to Ruidoso, New Mexico, in 2010, to enjoy the mountains and the small town atmosphere.

As a Christ follower John was often sharing his faith, and would want each reader to know that God loves you and hopes you place your faith in Jesus so he will be able to welcome you into Heaven.  John 3:16
