John Cowden

John Bruce Cowden, 89, of Alto passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Mescalero Care Center. He was born May 21, 1927 at San Francisco, California. He moved to Lincoln County in 1999 from Malakoff, Texas. He retired from A.A.F.E.S. after 25 years, he was
First Mate of the San Francisco Bay Ferry Service and he loved to hunt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Cowden of February 26, 2016.

He is survived by two sons, Ross Cowden and Timothy Cowden; a daughter, Alison Cowden; four grandchildren; a brother, William Cowden.
