Joe Vega

Funeral service for Joe. J. (JoJo) Vega, 66, of Carrizozo will be Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. in Santa Rita's Catholic Church in Carrizozo with burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery with Father Mike officiating.

Joe passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at his home. He was born August 21, 1949 in Carrizozo to Joe and Isabel Vega.
Joe retired from the Lincoln County Road Department and since enjoyed being outdoors and as much as possible with his family. He was very generous and selfless man, who enjoyed and loved being with his grandchildren, sharing his stories and encouraging them to do their best in what they loved. He will surely be missed by all who knew him and loved him. He married Angie Nava on May 31, 1969 at Capitan.

He was preceded in death by his father Joe, mother Isabel and sister Elena.

He is survived by his wife, Angelina Vega of Carrizozo, NM; son, Joe M. Vega and his wife, Tanya of Carrizozo, NM; daughter, Amanda K. Garcia of Capitan, NM and 5 grandchildren, Dominic, Julian, Jameal, Fantasia and Austin.
