Joe Roberson

Visitation for Joe Roberson, 86, of Ruidoso will be Sunday, Jan. 11, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at LaGrone Funeral Chapel with graveside services on Monday, Jan. 12, at 2:00 PM in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruidoso. Mr. Roberson passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, at Mescalero. He was born November 5, 1922 at Dawson, Texas to Della nd G. C. Roberson Sr. who both precede him in death. He moved to Lincoln County in 1936 from Roswell. Mr. Roberson was a logger and was very intrumental in the logging and growth of Lincoln County. He is survived by his children, Jo Ann Cresswell and her husband Chris of Lampe, Missouri, Ross Roberson ahd his wife Jean of Mineral Point, Missouri and Vivian Hampton and her husband Dave of Mineral Point, Missouri; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Floriene Roberson; brother, G. C. Roberson Jr., Sister, Beth Brown, half-brothers, Harry Whiteley and Lee Whiteley and half-sister, Nell Chapman.
