Joe Burchett

Joe E. Burchett, 38, of Glencoe passed on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home. He was born January 12, 1979 at Ruidoso and had lived in Lincoln County all of his life.

Joe graduated from Capitan High School in 1997 and then from New Mexico Tech in 2002. He was a member of the Gideon's and First Southern Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs where he was in charge of the Wednesday Night Meals. He was co-owner of COFEX Computer with his best friend since kindergarten, Jason Gipson. He married Jane Hanners on August 1, 2015 in Hondo.

He is survived by his wife, Jane; parents, Jerry and Marilyn Burchett; brother, Robert G. Burchett and his wife, Alida; sister, Doretta Barlow and her husband, Mark; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Barlow, Cole Barlow, Ryan Barlow, Rowan Burchett and Brennan Burchett; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Belinda Hanners; brothers-in-law, Michael Hanners, Jimmy Hanners and Jordan Rutherford; sister-in-law, Christy Rutherford; grandmother, Doris Hanners and numerous other nieces and nephews; special aunts and uncle, Joy Northcutt and Charma Northcutt and Jim Northcutt.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Ruth Burchett and Garland and Doris Northcutt.

Visitation will be Friday, June 9, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 10, at 11:00 A.M. in the First Baptist Church of Ruidoso.

The family has requested memorials to The Gideon's or First Southern Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs.
