Jesus Guardiola

Jesus Jose Guardiola, 73, of Ruidoso Downs, NM passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was born March 19, 1945 in Julimes, Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to Lincoln County in 1969 from Mexico. He married Maria Nava on January 3, 1970 in Alvarenas, Chihuahua, Mexico.

He founded Guardiola Construction in 1986, he helped to build the Inn of the Mountain Gods, U.S. Highway 70, the Water Treatment Plant and many other projects in the Ruidoso-Ruidoso Downs area.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; children, Jesse Guardiola, Manny Guardiola, Robert Guardiola, Donald Gonzales and Juan Carlos Barrera; a brother, Antonio Guardiola and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, May 7, from 8:30 A.M. until 9:30 A.M. with the Rosary at 9:30 A.M. followed by the funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Eleanor Catholic Church in Ruidoso. Burial will follow at St. Jude Catholic Cemetery at San Patricio, NM.
