Jean Gremillion

Jean Helen Gremillion passed away peacefully Monday, August 8, 2016 surrounded by her family in Albuquerque, NM.

Jean was born August 14, 1940 in Bay City, Texas. She resided in Ruidoso for the last 16 years of her life with her husband, Earl. They spent their honeymoon together in Ruidoso in 1961 and kept coming back throughout their lives together although they traveled all over the United States and England during their marriage of almost 55 years. She spent much of her time, when not bringing up her children, volunteering at school, Girl Scouts, March of Dimes, Meals on Wheels and similar non-profit organizations. She was also an accomplished artist and spent many hours painting portraits and landscapes in her spare time, including painting on sculptured rock houses/ cabins that her husband would build.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; her sister, Diane Butler of Houston, TX.; her two children, son,Wayne Gremillion and his wife, April of Houston, TX. and daughter, Diane Gremillion Easter of Ruidoso, NM., and two grandsons, Matthew and Michael.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso with a reception to follow immediately after the at the same place for family and friends.
