Janice Rogers

August 12, 1947 — August 21, 2016

Janice Ann Rogers was born on August 12,1947 in the Panhandle of Texas. Through her life she has lived in both Texas and New Mexico, in 1996 she moved to Ruidoso and knew she had found her home in which she always referred to as "Her Mountain". Jan Rogers passed peacefully in her home in Capitan surrounded by her family on August 21, 2016.

As known as a "work alcoholic," Jan first started with Ruidoso State Bank and continued with them through the changing of names and ended her career with Southwest Securities, along with part time entertainment activities at the Jockey and Turf club and decided to add the Texas Club to the menu where she was the right hand lady to the well known Mrs. Eva. She was the mother of all mothers, the grandmother to 6 beautiful grandkids and was made a great grandmother to 4 wonderful great grandchildren. I could go on about how my mother was amazing, caring, loving, fiesty, vein but yet so simple and how her laugh could be heard from 3 buildings away but she is in my ear saying enough so remember my mother with the fondest of memories that you have and when you speak of her say her name with a smile along with a heart full of love.

Jan Rogers is survived by Lowell Moore her constant companion for the last 4 years, her son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Debbie Butts, daughter and son-in-law, Mychelle and Manny Puentes, 6 grandkids, Brennin Cross, Alex Gonzales, Evan Puentes; Dalton, Jasmie, and Joshline Butts and 4 great grandkids, C.J., Serinity, Boston, and Ziara. Jan also left brothers, sister and extended family. Jan left our world to be lovingly preceded by her late 2 sons Todd, Kevin and her late husband Mike Rogers. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the Texas Club at 11:00 A.M.
