Prayer service for Jimmy LaPaz, 55, of Mescalero will be Thursday, January 5, at 6:00 PM in St. Josephs Mission at Mescalero where the funeral mass will be on Friday, January 6, at 10:00 with burial to follow at the LaPaz Cemetery at Elk.
Mr. LaPaz passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in Ruidoso. He was born March 21, 1956 at Los Angeles, California and lived at Mescalero all of his life. He had been a firefighter for BIA Forestry and attended St. Josephs Mission.
He is survived by four children, James LaPaz Jr., Trisha LaPaz, Amanda LaPaz and Stephanie LaPazJohnson four brothers, Alfred LaPaz, Chris LaPaz, Leo LaPaz Jr. and George LaPaz one sister, Elaine LaPaz and 5 grandchildren.
