J. Junge

He moved to Ruidoso 32 years ago from Ft. Worth, Texas where he was an Insurance BrokerAgent. He was a past city wide tennis champion in Dallas, avid fan of the Dallas Cowboy's, former member of the Ruidoso Rotary Club, served on the Ruidoso Village council for two terms, 1982-1984 and 1988-1991. He is the only citizen to receive the Key to the Village of Ruidoso and was well known as a political activist. He married Esther Gibson on May 10, 1930 in Durant, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death on May 14, 1984. He is survived by a daughter, Joan Junge Zagone of Ruidoso; a son, Julius Albert Junge III; grandchildren, Dutch Junge and family of Ohio, Mark Buntz and family of Texas, Kelly and Kevin Junge and family of Capitan; Jonahtan A. Junge and family of Louisiana, William Matthew Bridges of Texas, Jill Bailey McCleary and family of England.
