Inez Brooks

Ignacia (Inez) Chavez Brooks passed on December 14, 2017. She was born January 23, 1919 in San Patricio, New Mexico to Ysidro and Paulita Sanchez Chavez. She was baptized on February 25, 1919 into the Catholic Church in San Patricio, New Mexico. Her beloved husband Victor R. Brooks precedes her in death. She is survived by her sons; Harold Steele and Reynel Martinez; her sisters; Adela Gomez, Oralia Sanchez, Josie Herrera, Ramona Nunez, and Eileen Sedillo; her brothers; Humphrey Chavez and Melvin Chavez; Four grandchildren; Mathew Martinez, Rene Martinez Rodstein, Vanessa Martinez, Hailey Martinez Lamb; and nine great grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews.

She will always be remembered for her zest for life, her compassion and genuine concern for others, and love for family. She is a Woman of Valor (ESHET CHAYIL) Proverbs 31 and will be greatly missed and remembered by many. Rest in Peace beautiful woman till we meet again.

Services will be held at Saint Jude's Catholic Church in San Patricio, New Mexico will be Saturday, January 27, with Rosary starting at 9:30 A.M., Mass at 10:00 A.M. and internment following mass. There will be lunch and refreshments served after services in parish hall.
