Gloria Pafford

Gloria Pafford of San Patricio passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017. She was born August 29, 1953 in Roswell to Rita and Charlie Alarid who both precede her in death. She moved to Lincoln County in 1978 from Roswell, also in 1978 she married Patrick Pafford on May 12 in Roswell.

She was a big believer in education, she taught at Berrendo Elementary in Roswell and White Mountain Elementary in Ruidoso. She also taught special education in Roswell, Ft. Stanton and Hondo and then worked with Region 9. She had her Master's Degree in Special Education plus many other certificates and license as she loved to continue her own education.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; daughter, Tammy Pafford; two grandsons, Kase Duncan and Dane Massingill; brother, Carlos Alarid. She was preceded in death by a son, Zachary Pafford and a brother, Tito Alarid.

A Celebration of her Life will be Saturday, November 18, at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway Church of Christ in Ruidoso.

Gloria will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers and students.
