Gilbert Prins

Gilbert John Prins, 84, of Mescalero passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Mescalero. He was born May 26, 1932 at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.

He was in the Army during the Korean War, was a Cowboy at Cow Camp #1, worked as a Red Hat with U.S. Forestry and worked at the B.I.A. road department. He lived most of his life at Mescalero.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Prins; numerous nieces, nephews, grandkids and great grandkids.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM with the prayer service at 6:00 PM at the Mescalero Assembly of God Church. The funeral service will be on Thursday, January 19, at 10:00 AM at the Mescalero Assembly of God Church with burial at the Mescalero Cemetery.
