Gilbert Archuleta

Gilbert Archuleta, 65, of Carrizozo passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at his home. He was born March 27, 1951 at Carrizozo. He moved back to Carrizozo a year ago after living in Odessa for 22 years. While living in Odessa he worked in the oil field as a roughneck.

He is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Barela; a son, Guy Archuleta and his wife Trish; a step-daughter, Miracle Armstrong; 6 grandchildren, Timothy Barela, Scott Barela, Tyrrell Barela, Kaylyn Archuleta, Kristyn Archuleta and Payton Thompson; 3 great grandchildren, Julian Barela, Deyton Barela and Nala Barela; 3 step-grandchildren, Kritin Chandler, Shienne Armstrong and Slaton Armstrong; a brother, Ernie Archuleta.

His funeral mass will be Saturday, April 9, at 10:00 A.M. in Santa Rita's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Our Lady Catholic Cemetery.
