George Mcculley Jr.

George McCulley, 71, of Ruidoso passed away Saturday, March 17, at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. McCulley was born June 16, 1935 at Williston, Tennessee. He served in the Army retiring after 25 years as a Command Sgt. Major and had two tours of duty in Vietnam. He moved to Ruidoso in 1977 from Ft. Riley, Kansas and worked for Pritchett Construction. He married Mary Boonstra on December 6, 1956 and she preceded him in death on December 8, 2006. He is survived by his children; John McCulley and his wife Jeanie of Denver, Colorado and Tammy Woods and her husband Mark of Ruidoso; a sister, Joyce Macdonald of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a sister-in-law, Jany Pritchett of Ruidoso; three grandchildren, Sabrina McCulley, Shaun McCulley and his wife Kristi; and Julie Hirschfeld; and a great grandchild, Mackenzie Jean Jeffries. Services will be held at a later.
