Floyd "Fat" Kelly Hobbs was born to George Marion Hobbs and Dona Aber Hobbs in Coyote, New Mexico on June 23, 1930. He passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2017 at the age of 86.

His life was filled with love for others, especially children, cowboying and helping local ranchers with predator control. Floyd supported his family by working for the state and federal government doing predator control and cowboying. Floyd was well known for his gentle, soft-spoken manners, and his love for people.

A celebration of Floyd's life will be Friday May 05, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lincoln County Fair Grounds with a pot-luck lunch following afterwards. Then anyone that would like can follow the family to the Ancho Cemetery for burial of his cremated remains.
