Donovan L. (Buck) Buckland

Retired Air Force Master Sergeant, Donovan L. (Buck) Buckland, age 89, passed away on December 26, 2023, in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Buck was born on February 27, 1934, to the late Homer Buckland and Faye Graves.

Buck served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 years. After his military career, he worked for and retired from Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas. He enjoyed a good game of golf, but more than anything, he loved the precious time he spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie; son, Tom Buckland, and wife Shanna; grandchildren, Alexa Buckland, and Christopher Buckland; family members, Nikki and husband Chris Pierce, Summer Carmichael, and Natalie O’Connor and husband Darren.

Buck is preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather John Graves.

A memorial service with military honors for Buck will be held on Saturday, January 20^th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Ruidoso, New Mexico.
