Donnie Foreman

Donnie was born on August 21, 1931, in Roby, Texas to the late Herman and Reba Foreman. Donnie lost her long battle to cancer on November 23, 2007.

Donnie graduated from Amarillo High School in 1949. In 1962 she moved to Ruidoso, NM, and worked as an insurance adjuster. In 1982 she moved back to Amarillo and stayed until 1993 when she moved back to Ruidoso. We are all thankful for her move; otherwise, all of her friends in Ruidoso would have never known such a wonderful and warm person. Donnie was the most giving person you could ever know and she always had a sense of humor, even while in pain.

Donnie worked in just about every store in Ruidoso. Most recent was the Allsups store on Mechem where she always greeted visitors with a smile and advice of all kinds, whether you wanted it or not.

She is survived by her best friend for the past 40 years, Pat Healy of Ruidoso, special friends Bobby and Nancy Johnson of Ruidoso, NM, and many other great and dear friends who cared for her throughout her battle. Also by her brother, Jerry Foreman of Ada, Oklahoma, two nieces; Jaynet and husband Tommy Davis, Danna and husband Billy Krause, one great niece Katheryn Krause, three great nephews; Michael DiBiase, John Lewis and William Krause all of Amarillo, Texas.

Donnie, Bobby and Nancy spent many hours together for the past 10 years. Donnie got so much enjoyment sitting out on the patio at their place and just looking at Sierra Blanca, the birds, Elk and watching the dogs play. She called the dogs her babies and they added so much to her life. There was not one minute that went by she didnt have her favorite dog, Squeaky, a Teacup Poodle in her lap or on in bed with her. She really loved animals of all kinds.

If there was a football game on TV, she would be sitting there and daring anyone to touch the remote control. She loved her football, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
