Dona Wilcox passed away peacefully at her home in Ruidoso, New Mexico on July 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her husband, Rolan Wilcox. Born on April 17, 1947, in Plainview, Texas, Dona lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Dona was not only a devoted family member but also a spirited individual who embraced life’s joys with open arms. She had an unwavering love for animals and people alike, often sharing her warmth and kindness to all who crossed her path. Her deep appreciation for family was evident, particularly in her joyful recollections of family vacations.

From a young age, Dona displayed a remarkable talent for sports, especially baseball, where she shone as a gifted batter. Throughout her life, she carried this athletic spirit into her passion for bowling, becoming a strong competitor in both the Ruidoso and Dallas bowling leagues. Her dedication saw her winning numerous trophies and patches, culminating in a proud victory at a city tournament, showcasing her competitive nature.

A social butterfly, Dona relished in long conversations and loved spending time connecting with friends and family, often engaging warmly with others on Facebook. Her best friend for life, Carol Crary, shared countless memories and laughter with Dona that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew them.

Dona is survived by her loving husband, Rolan Wilcox, nephews Jimmy and Darrin Blotz, sister-in-law Darlene Stone, and her cherished feline companions, McTavish and Allie. She will be deeply missed by her numerous extended family members and friends who were fortunate enough to share in the joy of her life.
