David Easter

David Blaine Easter, 59, of Ruidoso passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 15, 1955 in El Paso, Texas to Mary Spann Easter and James Marshall Easter who have preceded him in death.

He was a fireman with the El Paso Fire Department for 25 years serving the last 2 years as a Captain before retiring in 2000. In 2011, he moved to Ruidoso, NM, where he met the love of his life. He married Diane Gremillion on August 18, 2012 in Lincoln, New Mexico. Dave was a very talented musician & songwriter who often recorded music in his studio. He also loved fixing and building things with his own hands and loved to camp and ride his dune buggy in the desert. He had a passion for life that was reflected in how he lived each day and evident in the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Gremillion Easter of Ruidoso; his daughter, Laura Easter and her partner Bruce of Moore, OK; sisters, Carolyn P. Backer and her husband Bud of Los Lunas, NM, Pamela Hudson of Joplin, MO, Ada Ibarra of El Paso, TX and Marsha Hulsing and her husband Dan of Tacoma, WA; aunts, Lanell Hopkins of Chandler, AZ and Joie Wood of California, Mary Ellen Cann of Albuquerque, NM; nephews, Ben Ibarra and his wife Susy and Brian Ibarra and his wife Rachel; nieces, Brandi Ibarra Breen, Bridgett Backer, Michelle Cislo and her husband Jake, and Jessica Bryan her husband Micah.

Services for David will be held at a later date in El Paso, Texas.
