David Arteche

David Aaron Arteche Jr. was born on April 6th, 1970, in Santa Rosa New Mexico, to David Aaron Arteche Sr. and Dorothy (Tapia) Arteche. On August 17th, 2023, he took his last ride on his Harley.

David graduated from Gallup High School in 1988. He was a prominent ranch foreman in Lincoln County, New Mexico for many years. He was married to the love of his life for 32 years. David was a simple man who believed in God, family, country and guns. His passions included riding/training horses, and riding his Harley but most of all, he enjoyed being with his family.

David is survived by his wife D'rese, son Devon (Kara), grandchildren Karson and Daxton, his daughter Deline, his parents, grandmother Virginia Arteche, sister Denise (Jason), niece Dayanara, nephew Jared, brother-in-law Jon Todd Aguilar (Monica), niece Anissa Aguilar and son JJ, nephew Matthew Aguilar, mother-in-law Candie Aguilar and many uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by father-in-law Peter Aguilar, maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather. A special thanks to Cindy Aguilar, who made the impossible possible.

David will always be remembered as a shining light to all lives he touched.

A celebration of life will be held Friday September 1st 2023, 1pm at Burkham's Barn 107 Sagebrush Rd. Ruidoso Downs NM.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place.
