Curtis Nelson

Curtis John Nelson, age 88, went home to his heavenly father on January 12, 2024. He was born on November 20, 1935, to parents Rasmus and Ada Nelson who precede him in death.

Curt served in the United States Air Force beginning in October 1955. After being stationed in Bitburg, Germany, he was honorably discharged in August of 1959. After his service in the Air Force, Curt became a machinist manufacturing tools and parts for many different companies. He loved doing projects around the house, and most of all loved his family.

Cherishing Curt's memory are his beloved wife Constance (Connie) Nelson of 62 years, son Robert Nelson and his wife Susan, as well as daughters Elaine Jernigan and Cathy Alvis and her husband Justin. Curt is also survived by grandchildren William Burke and his wife Cinthia, Heather Denton, Sarah Jo Nelson, Jessica Martin and her husband Ryan, Keith Jernigan and his wife Sarah, Cory Jernigan and his wife Savanna, Samantha Jeffcoat, and Elah Alvis. Great-grandchildren Shane, Alyse, Cooper, Maisie, Aubrey, Raegan, and Everett.
