Conferina Johnson

Cathy Johnson, 78, of Ruidoso Downs passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at her home. She was born December 17, 1938 at San Patricio, NM to Senida and Edwardo Sanchez. While growing up she lived in Hagerman, Gallup, Roswell and then back to Lincoln County in 1983.

She was a Registered Nurse in Public Health for the State of New Mexico and was a District Nursing Supervisor for Southeastern New Mexico and she retired in 1995.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Anderson; son, Anthony Leyba; brother, Paul Sanchez; her grandchildren, Jesse and Angela, Valerie, Megan and Omar, Khristian, Mellisa, Edward, Adrian and Loki; great grandchildren, Jesse, Vivian, Dominic, Sahrinity, Briana, Sydney, Daniel, Ireland, Tristan, Noah, Domenique and Zoie and her 71 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lalo, Marcofla, Manuel, Rafael, Margarita, Romelio, Ester, Henry and Ariopajita.

Her memorial service will be Saturday, June 3, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church in Ruidoso.
