Cindy Valdez

Cindy was an extraordinary individual full of life and laughter; a person always willing to help other people. Her bold personality and witt gained her friends near and far. Coming from a traditional family, she kept her cultural values and traditional upbringing close at heart. She will be forever missed.

Cindy Julene Valdez was born on February 25, 1964 in Mescalero, NM. She went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Her parents are Pete Valdez Jr. and Elaine Magoosh. After high school, she left Mescalero and moved to Ocala, Florida, where she lived for several years before returning to Mescalero. Upon her return she was employed with the Mescalero Apache Gaming Commission for over 30 years.

Cindy leaves behind two children- Paige and Saige Randolph; grandchildren, Jazmere Randolph, Tyberius Coonie, Kameli Coonie, and Wyatt Chavez.

She is survived by her mother Elaine Valdez and siblings Louann (Silas) Cochise, Miriam Valdez, Denise Valdez, Gaberiel Valdez, Daniel Valdez, and James Valdez in addition to many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Pete Valdez Jr and daughter Lavone Randolph.

Visitation will be Wednesday. July 11, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at LaGrone Funeral Chapel in Ruidoso, NM. The rosary will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 A.M. at St Joseph's Apache Mission in Mescalero, NM. Burial will follow at the Mescalero Cemetary.

Lunch will follow at the Mescalero Community Center.
