Christine Tilch

Funeral service for Christine O. Tilch, 95, of Alamogordo will be Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church in Carrizozo with the Rev. Hayden Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Carrizozo. Mrs. Tilch passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, in Alamogordo. She was born September 18, 1912 at Hatchita, New Mexico. She moved to Carrizozo in 1988 from El Paso, Texas and for the past seven years she had lived in the Casa Arena Nursing Home in Alamogordo. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carrizozo where she played the piano and taught Sunday School. She married John Tilch on December 1, 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1987. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Means of Carrizozo; a niece, Renee Bloskey of Smithville, Texas; and she was preceded in death by John F. Tilch Jr.
