Cathy Burgess

Cathy Burgess, 84, of Ruidoso Downs, NM passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 in Ruidoso. She was born April 7, 1930 in Denver, Colorado. She moved to Lincoln County on September 3, 1961 from California. She married Douglas Burgess on July 11, 1946 in Carrizozo and he preceded her in death on July 9, 1974.

She is survived by her children, Carla Ann Swanner of Temple, TX, Douglas Marion Burgess of Ruidoso Downs and Catherine Alyce McIntosh of Tularosa brother, Paul Rout of Riverside, CA sister, Virginia Williams of Clarkville, GA sisterinlaw, Imajean Miranda of Ruidoso Downs brotherinlaw, James Clifford Burgess of Baird, TX 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Doris A. Darden and one granddaughter.

She loved to quilt and an avid baseball fan and was loving caregiver to her family and friends.
