Carol Zamora

Carol Jean Zamora, 71, of Carrizozo passed away on Monday, April 23, in Carrizozo. She was born April 6, 1947 in Carrizozo and had lived there all of her life. She opened her home to everybody and was the best cook in the world. She attended Santa Rita Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Ann Beltran and her husband Chuck, Cindy Verdugo and her husband George, Matthew Zamora and her wife, Melissa, Ruben Zamora Jr. and his wife Rachel, Michael Zamora, Sam Zamora and his wife, Thelma and Amy Daugherty and her husband Russ; 26 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; brother, Ernest Vega and his wife JoAnn, Sam Vega and his wife, Lorraine; sister, Kathy Archuleta and numerous nieces and nephews.

She married Ruben Zamora Sr. in October, 1967 in Carrizozo and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2018.

The rosary for Carol and Ruben will be Saturday, May 5, at 10:00 A.M. in Santa Rita Catholic Church where the funeral mass will be at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery in Carrizozo.
