Carlyle Coonie

Carlyle James Coonie was born on November 7, 1954, he passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. He was born to LeRoy Coonie and Ardythe Chee at Mescalero and resided in Mescalero, New Mexico all of his life. He was employed with the Inn of the Mountain Gods and retired after fifteen years. He is preceeded in death by his parents, LeRoy Coonie & Ardythe Coonie, & siblings Leroy Coonie & Rebecca Coonie.

His surviving siblings are Karen Aragon, Hubert Coonie, Lela Cupit, Alice Coonie & Lelena Coonie; his children are Esau Niko, Filiga Niko, Marlena Comanche, Toaiva Niko, Kelsey Coonie and Rachel Antonio; grandchildren include Toaiva Lester, Siatua Niko, Taua Niko, Jazmere Coonie, Tyberuis Coonie, Kameli Coonie.

Visitation will be Monday, March 26, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Rosary service will be held on Monday, March 26th at 6:00 PM and funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Apache Mission in Mescalero, NM. Interment will be at the Whitetail cemetery.
