A memorial service for Bob McAninch, 77, of Capitan will be Saturday, Sept. 20, at 11:00 A.M. in the Capitan United Methodist Church. Mr. McAninch passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, in Ruidoso. He was born September 3, 1931 at Waco, Texas to Florence and James McAninch. He was a member of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman for 56 years, a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners of Ruidoso. He attended the Capitan United Methodist Church and moved to Capitan in 2004 from Waco, Texas. He married Ruth Thrasher on January 3, 1953 in Waco, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Ruth; two sons, David McAninch and Sam McAninch; a daughter, Carolyn Jackson; grandchildren, Charles Jackson, Derek Jackson, Dakota McAninch, and Casey McAninch.
