Bobby Hoeckendorf

Bob Gene Hoeckendorf, 86 of Hondo, Passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at his home in Hondo. He was born on May 1, 1929 in Liberal, Kansas to Emil A. and Cora E. (Moon) Hoeckendorf.

Bob was a baptized member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a Deacon and Elder thru the years in Midland and LaGrange Texas and Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico. He married Perrie Jo Canton on June 25, 1950 in Keene (Johnson County) Texas. Bob had a Bachelor's degree in Geology and worked for Shell Oil Company for 35 years. He loved fishing, hunting, working with wood crafts, singing and was a rock hound.

Bob is preceded in death by his brother, Willard Arthur Hoeckendorf, his granddaughter, Alice JoAnn Hoeckendorf, his parents and several nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Perrie Jo Hoeckendorf; his children, Bobbie Jo Hoeckendorf, Kinsey and Rick D. Hoeckendorf; One grandson and five great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Sunday, November 1, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. in the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Ruidoso Downs with Pastor Bill Kasper officiating.
