Betty Allen

Graveside services for Betty Begee Schwarzbach Allen, 74, of Ruidoso will be Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 2:00 PM in the Ruidoso-Hondo Valley Cemetery near Ruidoso Downs. Mrs. Allen passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, in Ruidoso. She was born February 24, 1933 at El Paso, Texas and moved to Ruidoso in 1979 from El Paso. Betty was a member of the D.O.E.S., Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, and the El Minya Ladies Shrine. In El Paso she was Senior Clerk at Rivera Elementary School and in Ruidoso she was the manager of Duke Insulation and over the years was an avid blood donor. She was longtime member of Western Hills United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church in El Paso and was very active in the choir and Sunday School programs. Survivors include four daughters, Bobbianne Ericson of El Paso, Suzanne Phillips of El Paso, Joanne Wiklund of Cloudcroft and Dianne Johnson of El Paso; 6 grandchildren, Peggianne Ericson, Benjamin Ericson, Leslianne Ericson, Kyle Phillips, Ryan Phillips and Grant Jordan; one great grandson, Karter Phillips.
