Arthur Avina

Arthur Raymond Avina, age 32, loving husband, father, brother, son, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, passed away Friday February 8th, 2019, in Ruidoso, NM.

Ray was born in Alamogordo, NM on December 1st, 1986. He lived in Tularosa, NM until his high school graduation in 2005, he then moved to Tucson AZ and eventually to the place he called home, Ruidoso, NM. He married his wife, Esmeralda Sanchez de Avina on February 1st, 2012 in Ruidoso, NM. They have two beautiful daughters, Viviana Esmeralda & Sophia Azul and one son August Grayson.

He worked as a Table Games Dealer at the Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino, but his true passion was digital imaging and design. He was working toward starting his first business, Four Rivers T-Shirt Company. He loved to spend time with his family and prided himself on his ability to cook a rack of ribs.

He is survived by his wife: Esmeralda, his three children: Viviana, Sophia and August; his mother: Dolores Teresa Avina; his father: Sydney Stephens, four siblings, 11 nieces and nephews, one great nephew and an immeasurable amount of friends, family and love.
Ray's amazing sense of humor and joyous laugh will be missed by everyone. His terms of endearment for those he loved will never be forgotten.

His rosary service will be Friday February 15th, 2019 at 9:30 A.M. with the funeral mass to follow at 10:00 A.M. in St. Eleanor's Catholic Church, 140 Junction Road. Food to follow at the church Parrish.

Rays children request that guests dress in any shade of blue instead of black.
