Arnold Dix

Arnold Dale Dix, 73 of Ruidoso, NM passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis following an illness. He was born February 5, 1945 in Granite City, Illinois to the home of Hugh P. and Euple (Hargrove) Dix.
He married Gail Brandon on June 23, 1963 in Kentucky.

He was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his loving Wife Gail B. Dix of Ruidoso, New Mexico, a daughter Sarah A. Bullock and son-in-law Jerry Bullock of Fort Sumner, New Mexico, two sons Brad A. Dix and Jason B. Dix and wife Cristy of Ruidoso, New Mexico, three grandchildren, Hunter and Gage Sturgeon and Jessa Bullock of Fort Sumner, two brothers Dean Dix (Vickie Prescott) of Murray, KY, and Kenneth Dix (Karyl Stewart) of Johns Island, South Carolina.

Dale was a strong devoted husband and father who was raised and went to school in Almo, Kentucky. After High school he completed a Bachelors of Science from Murray State University with a degree in Agronomy. In 1970 he moved to Florida to pursue a career in Golf Course Management. After almost 20 years in Florida Dale moved his family to Ruidoso, New Mexico pursuing the same career.

Dale was an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors, loved to be on the lake in Kentucky and loved to fish.

At Dale's request no formal funeral ceremony is planned. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dale's memory to the Humane Society of Lincoln County, 422 Gavilan Canyon Road, Ruidoso, NM 88345 or American Lung Association, 5911 Jefferson Street NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
