Anita Lester

Anita Lester, 75, of Mescalero passed away on Monday, November 23, in Las Cruces. She was born September 21, 1940 at Mescalero and had lived there all of her life.

Anita is a descendant of Mangas, Chief Chihuahua, Massai-Apache Kid and Chief 10 Bears of Comanche Tribe.

She is survived by her daughters, Gailda Tenorio, Tammy Torres, Sharolynn Evans, Rena Chee, Becky Lester and Marla Evans; sons, Dwight Evans, Thelton Lester, George Lester, Mervil Lester and Joel Lester; sisters, Viola Morgan, Clarice Rocha and Wynelle Geronimo; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 25, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel from 5:00 A.M. until 6:00 A.M. when the family will take her to White Tail Cemetery for burial.
