I served in the Air Force.

William (Bill) Kreins was born on May 20,1937 to Joseph and Margaret Kreins of Oakland, California, and passed away on November 9, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Bill attended school in Oakland and Hayward, California, and joined the United States Air Force in 1956. Bill served in Spain and Japan as a control tower operator. He was honorably discharged in 1962 with the rank of Staff Sergeant.
Bill went to work at American Aviation, later known as Rockwell International, and today is known as Boeing. He rose through the ranks and became one of the leading managing directors in quality control on the Apollo rocket, and later the Bl Bomber program.
After a career of over twenty years he began a new career in the bail bond business. He served as the Vice President of several bail bond and insurance companies before retiring again to the mountains of Ruidoso, New Mexico with his wife Sue Ann. He continued to work in the bail and insurance business as a consultant, and was considered one of the leading experts in his field.

Bill and Sue were active in the American Quarter Horse Association, bred and raced quarter horses with their daughter Margaret, and were active horsemen for many years.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Sue Ann, his son William and his brother Steven. He is survived by his daughter Margaret of Long Beach, California, his brother Edward and his wife Emily of Nipomo, California, his surrogate son Lyle Guillory of Louisiana, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

My dearest poppi, Although I know you are in abetter place and you are reunited with Billy, grandpa and grandma, and nana, it still hurts that you are gone. You were an amazing father. I wish that every girl could have the type of relationship with their father that I had with you.I take comfort in knowing that until we meet again, you will always be on my shoulder whispering in my ear and in my heart. I love you poppi

Dear Billy, as I was the only person you regarded as your sister, I will miss you dearly. You had a habit of growing on people and after 81 years I was just getting used to you. Lots of great memories with you and Sue. Give our love to young Billy and Sue, and God be with you, Emily.

Hi little brother, all is well, and keep the cribbage board handy for the day I arrive. You are at peace now and in God's hands, love you, Ed.
