I knew Jimmie all my life as we grew up across the street from his grandmothers house, and like everyone else our kids loved to go to his toy store. Jimmie you were such a kind person, you will be greatly missed in our mountain home. RIP my friend.

As Kind A Soul As You Could Ever Know. We met Jimmy in 1989, Our three daughters Diah, Mindy and Kayci would visit Jimmy every time the were at our Business with us (a short walk away) and never failed to find a new toy. Jimmy NEVER forgot their names and NEVER failed to send them each a post card when he went on a trip. An amazing and ever so kind Man. People still come by our business and ask about "Toy Store" Jimmy. Rest Well Jimmy Long...and Know you are missed and remembered. Bert and Dixie Brunell and Family.

I will miss Jimmie's smiling face and his friendliness . We first took our little grandkids to his toy store in the 80's , and now they're all grown up, but we will all miss him. I'm sure he's still smiling , and in Heaven . -- Bob & Eva

What a precious soul, Jimmie was. My son loved to go into the toy store any time he got money for birthdays or whatever. As he got older he would still go in to check things out and visit and hang out with Jimmie. We loved him and he loved everyone. Will miss seeing his sweet face in town. God speed Jimmie.

Jimmie was a gentle giant. Always smiling, and so generous...you couldn't outgive him. My girls spent many Saturdays hanging around his store and he always made them feel welcome. Even though they have been grown for years, everytime I saw him, he asked about them by name. Jimmie your smiling face will be missed around town. God bless you.

My sister took me to the toy store in Midtown what I was young. I remember Jimmy being so full of life and loving what he did with his toy store. His toys weren't the toys you'd see at Walmart or Toys R Us. They were vintage and different toys. He even had prank toys. He was so fully of love and laughter. I would drive through Midtown everyday to work and watch him sit on the bench near Hall Of Flame and just enjoy himself. Ii will truly miss him and I've always missed his toyshop.

Jimmie was such a genuine man, so kind and good. I used to take my kids to his Toy Store, that's when we first met. We would run into him in midtown a lot and he was always such a gentleman. He will be missed by so many of us. Rest in Peace Jimmie. And lot of love from all of us. :) <3
My sisters and I made many visits to see Jimmy at his toy store growing up and loved watching him show us his magic tricks. Jimmy always sent us a postcard when he left town letting us know where he was and how he was doing. He was the kindest person you could ever meet and will be dearly missed by many. Rest easy, Jimmy.
