William (Bill) Edgar McNutt

Bill was born November 9, 1933 at Deming, New Mexico and passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Ruidoso, New Mexico. He grew up on their farm in Arrey, NM.

Bill served in the ☆ U.S. Army ☆ durng the Korean War and was later transferred to the ☆ National Guard ☆. He worked for the New Mexico State Hwy Dept. and retired from Phelps Dodge Mining Corp.

William lived a full life committed to supporting, loving and helping others. There was never a car problem or home appliance that he couldn't fix, or a call for help that he wouldn't answer.

He was a loving and caring husband and dad and a father figure to many. He loved spending time creatively cooking and baking for his loved ones. He was an incredible man who always focused on the things that mattered most.

After many miraculous recoveries from surgeries and heart problems, Bill passed away peacefully with his family by his side and went to be with Jesus.

He is survived by his wife Julia; son, Mark and daughter, Diana; his two brothers, Jimmy and Eddie and their spouses, Monique and Della; his five grandkids, Krystal, Jason, Rudy, Moriah and Alaitia; and his great grandkids Jay and Damien.

He is also survived by his wife's family who loved him like a brother, George and Lilly Sandoval, Melco Naranjo, Lisa and Dan Tressler & Martin and Clorinda Rael and several nieces and nephews.

His memorial service will be Saturday, July 15, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Southern Baptist Church of Ruidoso Downs.

He will be greatly ♡ missed ♡ by all.

I had the privilege of calling Bill my friend. We met in 1954 while we were in the army. We were stationed at camp Hanford in the state of Washington.
I will always remember my buddy as a sincere, unselfish person who was always ready to give you a helping hand.
Bill was one of the few people I met in the service who was truly a good and genuine person. We enjoyed each other's company and had great times together.
My sincerest condolences to Julia ,who I had the privilege of meeting a few years ago, and to the rest of family.
Rest In Peace my good friend.

We extend our sincere condolences to the entire McNutt family. May you find a measure of comfort that you can be reunited with Bill, by means of our Heavenly Father's promise of a resurrection when death will be a thing of the past. Revelation 21:3-4, John 5:28. At that time his years will be only a few. 😊
