Prayer service and wake for Virginia Shanta Klinekole, 86, of Three Rivers will be Wednesday, March 16, at 5:30 PM at the Virginia Klinekole residence at Three Rivers where the funeral mass will be on Thursday, March 17, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Patricks Cemetery at Three Rivers.
Mrs. Klinekole passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011, in Alamogordo. She was born June 13, 1924 at Three Rivers and lived there all of her life. She was the Tularosa Public School Educational Liaison for the Mescalero Apache Tribe for 19 years, served on the Mescalero Apache Tribal Council from 1959 until 1986 and had served as the Chair Person.
She is survived by her children, Bruce W. Klinekole II, Gregg A. Klinekole, Gina R. Klinekole and Ruth Wonzie Klinekole Tiger 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildrenand one great great grandaughter that was born March 14, 2011.
